What is the best way to book an appointment?
Being a mobile practitioner based in Toronto, Ontario the best way to book an appoitment is to reach out directly. I can offer days and appointment times based on your location and schedule. Let me know how you heard of LP Osteopathy as well as days and times that work best for you.
What does an initial appointment look like?
An inital assessment will consist of a movement screen, postural exam, range of motion, strength testing and orthopedic testing. Once limitations and issues are identified a home exercise program will be prescribed as well as appropriate hands on treatment. If you have any specific requests for treatment modailities please let the practitioner know before starting.
Will this be covered by insurance?
Manual Osteopathy is unregulated in Canada which means not all insurance companies accept all registrations. Liz is registered with both the CRMO as well as the ACMA so please check your coverage or send an inquiring to confirm if your insurance will accept these registrations. Massage Therapy is fully regulated meaning all insurance companies will cover this modaility.
Can you bill under Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is billing under massage therapy, acupuncture coverage is restricted to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture. If you would like to be referred to a TCM acupuncturist please reach out.
